ABOUT THE ROLE
RAN Group is looking for a Head of FP&A to take full ownership of the group-level planning cycle. The group finance function is still small relative to the size of the business it supports, so whoever joins now will shape how group-level FP&A actually works for years to come, rather than stepping into a process that's already been decided.
The Head of FP&A owns the full group-level planning cycle end-to-end and acts as business owner for the group's planning and reporting system. This is a role for someone who wants to build and shape financial infrastructure at genuine pace, in an organization still forming the boundary between local and group-level finance. The position reports to the Group CFO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the full group-level planning cycle: budgeting, rolling forecasting, long-range planning, and decision-grade variance analysis
Lead cashflow and leverage analysis, and debt and lender reporting
Act as business owner for KPI and analysis development
Work in close cooperation with country Business Controllers, supporting group and country-level monthly reporting
Hold business ownership over the group planning and reporting system
Support the Management team with group-level analysis
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
RAN Group is looking for a finance leader with finance experience, including experience of FP&A at group level, ideally within a multi-country setting. The ideal candidate has a background in professional services, BPO, software, or another people-leveraged business model, with real international group experience across multi-entity management reporting, consolidation, intercompany transactions, and FX.
QUALIFICATIONS
Driver-based modeling expertise, with a sharp instinct for services-business unit economics (utilization, realization, gross margin per service line, churn)
Proven M&A FP&A capability: proforma calculations, synergy tracking, post-merger integration reporting, earn-out monitoring
Expertise in dimensional analytics (customer/service line/office/consultant), with the confidence to challenge the underlying data architecture
Hands-on comfort with Power BI (or equivalent) and SQL
Experience setting up a modern FP&A platform, such as Anaplan or similar
Genuine curiosity about AI in finance and analytics, ideally with some track record to show for it
The ability to act as a commercial business partner to Management and country Business Controllers without formal authority
A degree in finance, economics, or accounting is required, along with executive-level English. Swedish, Finnish, or Norwegian is a meaningful plus
